3. Data Accuracy Disclaimers
The information provided through the Service is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as financial, investment, navigational, legal, or professional advice. Specifically:
- Vessel Tracking Data: Vessel positions are derived from AIS (Automatic Identification System) transponders. Ships may disable transponders in conflict zones, meaning the data represents a lower bound of actual vessel activity. We cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of vessel tracking information.
- Oil Price Data: Commodity prices are sourced from third-party APIs and may lag real-time market conditions by up to 5 minutes. Prices displayed may differ from those on regulated exchanges. Do not use this data for trading decisions.
- Insurance Data: War risk insurance premiums and P&I club coverage status are based on publicly available reports and may not reflect the most current underwriting decisions. Actual insurance terms are determined by individual insurers and brokers.
- Crisis Timeline: Events and dates in the crisis timeline are based on verified news reports and official statements. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all events are captured or that timing is precise to the minute.
- Economic Impact: Regional economic impact figures are estimates based on trade flow analysis and economic modeling. Actual impacts may vary significantly based on factors not captured in our models.
- No Trading Advice: Nothing on this website constitutes financial or trading advice. You should not rely on any information on this website as a substitute for professional financial advice.
Users are strongly encouraged to verify critical data through independent sources before making any decisions based on information obtained through the Service. For our full data methodology, see our Methodology page.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HormuzTracker.tech and its operators, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in any data or information provided through the Service
- Any financial losses incurred as a result of relying on data from the Service for trading, investment, or business decisions
- Any decisions made based on the crisis severity indicators or monitoring data
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of the Service exceed the amount of one hundred US dollars ($100.00) or the amount you have paid to us, whichever is less. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including without limitation ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.
